Analyst II, Full Stack

The role is for an Analytics Engineer focused on financial data platform maintenance at Affirm. The position involves building and maintaining dbt models and core datasets to support Accounting reporting and automation. You will improve platform reliability through testing patterns, alerting, and runbooks. Ownership includes documenting data pipelines and lineage for auditability. The engineer will identify and resolve production data issues driving root-cause fixes. Optimization of Snowflake and dbt performance and cost is a key responsibility. Collaboration with engineering and business stakeholders is required to translate requirements into well-tested data assets. The team follows GitHub-based version control workflows for code review and documentation. Best practices in release hygiene and code documentation are essential. A strong sense of ownership is expected in a fast-moving environment. Familiarity with finance concepts like reconciliations and ledger modeling is valued. Experience with automation platforms like Workato or Fivetran is preferred. Support for BI reporting layers and tooling is part of the scope. Python skills for data manipulation are a nice to have.
