AWS Cloud Engineer

Responsibilities Peraton is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented AWS Cloud Engineer to join our Team, becoming responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of critical platforms that support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This person will provide day-to-day customer application support, maintain infrastructure, monitor systems, resolve incidents, while implementing automation to improve operational efficiency. They will also collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and other cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and deliver secure, scalable solutions. This role requires strong AWS DevOps expertise, application support experience, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to optimizing our analytics infrastructure. Work Location: This is a remote position What You Will Do: Design and build AWS cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI) Guide ADTs on cloud solution patterns, deployment strategies, and architecture decisions; able to influence design choices and align stakeholders Own automation end-to-end; from IaC authorship to pipeline design to production operations Participate in on-call rotation and contribute to observability/monitoring practices Provide technical support and guidance to AWS and managed service users Design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available AWS cloud infrastructure.
