Cyber Security Operations Engineer

This entry-level to mid-career role collaborates closely with senior engineers to build scripts and automations that improve incident response, vulnerability management, and security monitoring. You will gain hands-on experience with enterprise security platforms while contributing to the organization’s overall security posture. Key duties include developing and maintaining security-focused scripts, creating integrations between security tools, and building dashboards and reports to track operational progress. The position supports incident response through automation and introduces DevOps and agile practices within the security team. Qualifications require a computer science degree or equivalent experience and 5 years of relevant work, including academic, internship, or personal programming projects. Essential skills include Python scripting, debugging, Git version control, and strong analytical and communication abilities. Collaboration across global teams and time zones is critical. Preferred experiences include security or software development internships, exposure to SIEM/SOAR platforms like Palo Alto Cortex XSIAM, ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, and familiarity with security concepts like MITRE ATT&CK or vulnerability management.
