DATA ANALYST | Predictive Analytics Decision Management
The employer is seeking a senior data analyst to join a Chicago-based firm focused on consumer data strategy. The role centers on applying statistical methods to improve customer acquisition and retention through data-driven insights. Key responsibilities include designing analytical models for product A/B testing, conducting user segmentation, engagement, and funnel analyses, as well as calculating lifetime value insights. The analyst will also drive data collection efforts, refine data sources, prepare datasets for machine learning, and maintain the analytic database while ensuring data quality through regular audits. Collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is essential to design experiments and communicate findings clearly. Training sessions on statistical concepts will be led to build organizational understanding. The position requires a Master’s or PhD in statistics, mathematics, computer science, economics, or a related field with seven or more years of post-graduation experience in data science roles. Candidates must demonstrate extensive experience solving business problems using quantitative approaches, particularly with large and complex datasets from diverse sources. Proficiency in R is required, with additional experience in tools like Looker, Python, or SAS considered advantageous. Familiarity with SQL, distributed computing frameworks such as Hadoop or Spark, and advanced applied statistics—including reliability models—is expected. Strong communication skills and the ability to translate technical analysis into actionable business recommendations are critical. The role operates in an office environment in Chicago but offers hybrid flexibility with some remote work permitted. Applications must be submitted through the company’s career portal.
