Job Remote13 days ago

The position is for a DevOps Engineer to work fully remotely from the Philippines. The job offers health insurance for the employee and two family members, life insurance, additional leave, and statutory government benefits (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG). The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 11am to 8pm. The employer provides all necessary equipment and seeks a candidate with at least 10+ years of relevant DevOps experience, specifically within regulated financial firms supporting real-time trading systems and market data platforms. Experience should include working with early-stage startups, multinational teams, and fintech environments, along with proven expertise in AWS services, particularly CloudFormation and EKS clusters. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing secure, scalable AWS cloud infrastructure, managing Kubernetes deployments via EKS, configuring network routing and security controls, and maintaining Linux environments, containers, and CI/CD pipelines. The role requires heavy use of Jenkins, Jenkinsfiles, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, and Terraform for infrastructure automation, provisioning, and monitoring using Grafana and Prometheus. Candidates must demonstrate strong English communication skills and be willing to perform occasional Saturday on-call duties during scheduled deployments, overtime when needed, and potentially transition to in-office work (RTO) in the future based on business requirements. The position involves collaboration with development, QA, and DBA teams within Agile frameworks like Scrum and Kanban, as well as contributing to scripting and automation efforts using Bash, Groovy, and Python. The role is ideal for professionals seeking to apply their expertise in fintech environments, particularly those with backgrounds in financial system support, cloud infrastructure management, and cross-functional team coordination in multinational settings. Applicants should be prepared to handle on-call responsibilities and adapt to evolving operational needs while leveraging modern DevOps tools and practices to support scalable financial technology systems.
