Employment Counsel

The Basics: Tanium is seeking a highly motivated, proactive attorney to join its legal team as Employment Counsel. The right person for this position must be a team player who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment, has a pragmatic approach to problem solving, and is passionate about employment law and its practical application in a complex, global technology business. This person will serve as a trusted advisor to our People team and business stakeholders, helping Tanium attract, develop, and retain top talent while managing legal risk. What you’ll do: Provide strategic advice and counsel to the People team and business stakeholders on a broad range of U.S. employment issues, including recruiting and hiring, onboarding, performance management, disciplinary actions, leaves of absence, accommodations, wage and hour compliance, compensation and benefits, pay transparency, contingent workers, employee classification, reorganizations, redundancies, non-competition and non-solicitation, and separations and terminations Oversee internal workplace investigations, including matters involving harassment, discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower complaints, and policy violations Investigate and respond to claims, demand letters, administrative complaints, audits, and other employment-related inquiries Manage pre-litigation and litigation matters with the assistance of outside counsel as needed Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related documents and templates, including offer letters, employment agreements, contingent worker agreements, separation and severance a
