Faculty Associate - Rural Health Tele-Neurology Coverage

The Department of Neurology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, in collaboration with the University of Maryland Medical System, is seeking a Tele-Neurologist to provide consultative coverage for Shore Regional Health on Maryland’s Eastern Shore (Easton, MD). This is a fully remote, work-from-home position offering a unique opportunity to support rural health while maintaining excellent work-life balance. Residents from the following states would be considered. Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, & Maryland. Salary range $168,500 to $300,000.00 Position Highlights: Provide general neurology consults via telemedicine Coverage hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with overnight consultative calls handled telephonically No in-house responsibilities No acute stroke or neurocritical care coverage required Supported by advanced practice providers (APPs) who assist with consult coordination, follow-up care, and discharge planning Daily workflow includes morning tele-rounds followed by consult coverage throughout the day Schedule: 26 weeks per year This position offers a volunteer faculty appointment at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Department of Neurology. Performs professional duties and technical procedures of the particular area of specialty to provide examination and treatment of patients.
