Founding Software Engineer, Skunkworks

We are seeking a Founding Software Engineer for AIT's new Skunkworks team, tasked with building next‑generation internal technology from the ground up in a rapidly expanding global logistics firm. As a core individual‑contributor, you will define the architecture, select the tech stack, and establish engineering practices that will shape the company's software evolution across 170+ worldwide locations. Working in a newly created development center in Tel Aviv, you will design, construct, and ship production‑grade systems that address real operational challenges within freight movement. Your work will leverage AI‑native approaches—agents, retrieval‑augmented generation, and large language model pipelines—to accelerate development and improve system performance. Success in this role requires comfort with ambiguity, as the project roadmap is still undefined, and the willingness to own end‑to‑end responsibilities including reliability, quality, auditability, and operational monitoring. You will collaborate closely with operations stakeholders to translate business needs into robust technical solutions and present demos directly to company leadership.
