Lead Software Engineer (Billing)

The Lead Software Engineer (Billing) will design, develop, configure, test, and document JavaScript, Java, .NET, and other web-based applications and components using object-oriented languages. You will maintain and support both internally built and third-party applications, processes, and reports, acting as the primary application owner for incident management and root cause analysis. Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting performance issues in server, database, and user interface layers and implementing fixes via custom scripts and destructive testing to ensure production resiliency. You will collaborate closely with product owners to deliver clear, testable user stories and work within agile/scrum and DevOps pipelines that incorporate continuous integration and automated testing frameworks. As a top technical expert, you will guide solution delivery, lead architectural reviews, and ensure adherence to project plans, maintenance timelines, and support documentation. The role requires staying current with emerging technologies, quickly prototyping new tools, and mentoring senior engineers on design patterns and best practices. You will also expand business knowledge across departments, provide technical leadership across project phases, and coordinate IT resource allocation while communicating key decisions to stakeholders.
