Lead UX Designer
Consilio, an eDiscovery and legal technology provider serving major organizations, seeks a Lead UX Designer to own design for critical product areas and steward its design system. This individual contributor role offers significant influence in shaping high-stakes user experiences where interface decisions carry legal weight. The designer will work closely with Product and Engineering from the earliest stages to frame problems and develop solutions for complex, deadline-driven workflows. A key focus is defining interaction models for AI-assisted legal processes, ensuring users understand and trust system actions. Responsibilities include end-to-end design ownership, maintaining and evolving the design system across a multi-product suite, integrating accessibility from the start, and prototyping rapidly using modern AI tools. The role requires strong leadership in advocating for design decisions through evidence and storytelling with senior stakeholders. Candidates must have 8+ years of experience designing complex B2B or enterprise software, with verifiable shipped work and proven experience building design systems in multi-product environments. This role operates in Boston with hybrid flexibility and emphasizes ownership in a growing, small internal design team.
