Principal, Cloud Solutions Architect

The Principal, Cloud Solutions Architect position is a full-time remote role within a U.S. FinTech company specializing in mortgage securitization platforms. The company operates one of the largest cloud-based mortgage securitization systems supporting Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac's Uniform Mortgage-Backed Securities, handling 70% of the market. The role requires hands-on development across the full cloud technology stack, making strategic architecture decisions, and serving as the primary technical liaison to clients and leadership. Key responsibilities include designing and building scalable distributed solutions, creating APIs and data models, ensuring application security and performance, and evaluating cloud infrastructure issues like resiliency and automation. The ideal candidate must possess strong engineering expertise, understand technology governance and security controls, and be capable of communicating complex technical concepts to senior stakeholders across IT, cybersecurity, data/AI, and infrastructure teams.
