Scrum Master

The Scrum Master is responsible for coaching and facilitating an energetic team while ensuring quality delivery of products and services. In this role the Scrum Master acts as a liaison between the product delivery team, the product manager, and senior management, providing direction and communication. The Scrum Master leads one or more agile teams as both a Scrum Master and a team member, applying best practices for agile and Scrum within the department’s overall SDLC framework. They work collaboratively with product managers and team members to support the strategic direction of initiatives. The Scrum Master motivates and supports team members, ensures they have the tools and knowledge they need, and quickly resolves any blocking issues. They facilitate sprint planning, daily standups, sprint demos, and reflection sessions, acting as a moderator. In partnership with the Product Manager and Product Owner, they maintain a robust, prioritized backlog. The Scrum Master also communicates team status to internal stakeholders and continuously refines metrics. They coordinate cross‑team dependencies with other Scrum Masters and participate in an Agile Community of Practice. The role requires escalating issues that need executive attention and discovering opportunities to support broader organizational initiatives. The Scrum Master collaborates with leadership to develop programs that align with the company’s strategic plan and helps balance workload to optimize project development and management. They perform root‑cause analyses to improve operational and process performance. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in business or a technical discipline such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering, and a commitment to continuous learning as defined by the company’s learning philosophy.
