Scrum Master (Information Technology/Software/Remote)

Our client is a leading international ICT company serving government institutions, multinational corporations, public administrations and academic research bodies across Europe and beyond. They are seeking a Scrum Master for a B2B contract to work remotely within the EU as part of their initial assignment. The successful candidate will join the team supporting a major client’s IT department on site while delivering remote expertise. Key responsibilities include organizing and facilitating all Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives and backlog refinement. The Scrum Master will lead two production teams through full sprint cycles and drive data-informed improvements to increase velocity and reduce lead time. They will coordinate cross-team collaboration using Scrum-of-Scrums and PI Planning events to align with scaled Agile frameworks. Essential qualifications include a university degree and at least eight years of IT experience, with three years specifically at the Scrum Master level (SM2 or higher). Candidates must have hands-on experience facilitating Agile practices and possess deep knowledge of the Scrum Guide, Agile Manifesto principles, and facilitation techniques like Liberating Structures. Demonstrated ability to apply Agile metrics such as velocity and cycle time, and build performance dashboards using tools like Azure DevOps or Jira, is required. Relevant certifications including PSM II or higher and SAFe 5/6 Agilist are mandatory, with experience in SAFe, Nexus or LeSS considered advantageous. Strong English language skills are essential for effective stakeholder communication and team empowerment.
