Senior Software Engineer - Cyber Security

The Senior Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain backend security services for Akamai's Active Testing API scanning platform, which detects vulnerabilities early in development to support Shift-Left Security initiatives. The role requires 4+ years of experience in object-oriented backend development using TypeScript and Node.js, along with at least 4 years of experience in Linux environments, HTTP protocols, and cybersecurity. Candidates must have extensive hands-on expertise in debugging complex issues and proficiency in at least one of the following technologies: Postgres, AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes. Strong system architecture skills, experience with code reviews, and the ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technical challenges are essential.
