Staff Machine Learning Engineer

We are an early-stage startup focused on making healthcare proactive by equipping clinicians with real-time data to improve patient outcomes. The team includes clinicians, engineers, machine learning experts, product designers, and performance improvement leaders, backed by investors such as Andreessen Horowitz and the American Medical Association. As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer, you will design, develop, and deploy production-grade ML models for clinical prediction tasks. Your responsibilities include model prototyping, writing Python and SQL code to debug data pipelines, and enhancing prediction timeliness within AWS environments. You will contribute to MLOps infrastructure, ensuring models remain effective once deployed. Additional duties include consulting in precision medicine, analyzing health economic outcomes, building customer-facing AI tools, and synthesizing labor economics research to assess AI impact. The role requires expertise in machine learning and continuous model effectiveness across development, productionization, and deployment phases. Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. in a relevant field and three or more years of professional experience in machine learning or a closely related discipline.
